to authorize a post or an advert will vary between a few mins to 24hours depending
on how long it takes to make necessary verifications.

These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and
Vet Spares ltd and are effective as of 05 May 2024 for current users, and upon
acceptance for new users. You accept these Terms of Use by clicking the
“Create Account” button when registering a Vetspares account and by
otherwise accessing Vetspares.com, including posting an ad;
Using Vetspares
As a condition of your use of Vetspares you agree that you will not:
 violate any laws;
 violate the policies;
 post any threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene or indecent material;
 post or otherwise communicate any false or misleading material or message of
any kind;
 infringe any third-party right;
 distribute spam, chain letters, or promote pyramid schemes;
 distribute viruses or any other technologies that may harm Vetspares or the
interests or property of its users;
 impose or contribute to imposing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or
interfere with the proper working of Vetspares;
 copy, modify, or distribute any other person’s content without their consent;
 use any robot spider, scraper or other automated means to access Vetspares
and collect content for any purpose without our express written permission;
 harvest or otherwise collect information about others, including email
addresses, without their consent;
 copy, modify or distribute rights or content from Vetspares or Vetspares’s
copyrights and trademarks;
 harvest or otherwise collect information about users, including email addresses,
without their consent;
 bypass measures used to prevent or restrict access to Vetspares;
 use any tool that interferes with the normal functioning of Vetspares, including,
without limitation, browser plug-ins (including, but not limited to, extensions, or

other software which are designed to supplement, remove or otherwise change
any of Vetspares’ functionalities; or
 sell any counterfeit items or otherwise infringe the copyright, trademark or other
rights of third parties.
You are solely responsible for all information that you submit to Vetspares and any
consequences that may result from your post. We reserve the right at our discretion to
refuse or delete content that we believe is inappropriate or breaching the above terms.
We also reserve the right at our discretion to restrict a user’s usage of Vetspares either
temporarily or permanently, or refuse a user’s registration. If we believe that you are
breaching these Terms of Use in any way and/or behaving suspiciously on Vetspares,
we may, at our discretion, inform other users that have been in contact with you and
recommend that they exercise caution.
Abusing Vetspares
Vetspares and its community work together to keep working everyone safe. Please
report problems, offensive content and policy breaches to us using the reporting
system.
Without limiting other remedies, we may issue warnings, limit or terminate our service,
remove hosted content and take technical and legal steps to keep users off Vetspares
if we think that they are creating problems, infringing the rights of third parties or acting
inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies (including, without limitation,
circumventing temporary or permanent suspensions or harassing the Vetspares
employees or other users). However, whether we decide to take any of these steps,
remove hosted content or keep a user off Vetspares or not, we do not have any
obligation to monitor the information transmitted or stored on Vetspares and we do not
accept any liability for unauthorised or unlawful content on Vetspares or use of
Vetspares by users.
Fees and Services
Vetspares charges a fee for its services. The service you use incurs a fee, you’ll be
able to review and accept terms that will be clearly disclosed at the time you post your
ad. Our fees are quoted in Pounds Sterling, and we may change them from time to
time. We’ll notify you of changes to our fee policy by posting such changes on
Vetspares or the new fees will be disclosed at the time you post your ad. We may
choose to temporarily change our fees for promotional events or new services; these
changes are effective when we announce the promotional event or new service.
You are responsible for paying the fees when they’re due. If you don’t, without
prejudice to any other right or remedy we may be entitled to under these Terms of Use
or by law, we may limit your ability to use the services. If your payment method fails or
your account is past due, we may collect fees owed using other collection
mechanisms.
Seller and Buyers will arrange between themselves to settle their purchases.
Vetspares does not provide any means of payment between Buyers and Sellers. Each
party engages at their own risk. However, we recommend to be mindful of scammers
and fraudsters.

You acknowledge that your ads may be deleted from Vetspares in case we believe
these Terms of Use, including our Posting Rules, are breached, either directly or
indirectly. In case you would have paid a fee for the display of such ad, you may be
entitled to a refund of such fee. However, we reserve the right not to refund users for
any fees paid through use of Vetspares in the following cases:
 If you breach, in our opinion, these Terms of Use, which include, without
limitation, the Policies;
 If your ads went live with exposure on the site, services, applications or tools,
even for a limited time, and that they benefited from the service associated with
the paid fee;
 If your ads are placed into “edit” mode and will go live to site once updated by
you;
 If you have removed your ads yourself;
 If you post duplicate ads as defined in our rules regarding duplicate ads;
 If we believe that your ads are in a significantly wrong category;
 Please note that the above list is not exhaustive. See the Vetspares Refund
Policy for more details on the cases in which you may, or may not, be entitled to
a refund of such fees.
Display and placement of user ads
We strive to create a platform where users can find what they are looking for.
Therefore, the appearance or placement of ads in search and browse results will
depend on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to:
 users’ location and search query / category selected;
 adverts’ category, content, location and date published; and

Content
You agree not to copy, distribute or modify content from Vetspares without our express
written consent. You may not disassemble or decompile, reverse engineer or otherwise
attempt to discover any source code contained in Vetspares.
Vetspares may at times use third party data suppliers to supplement the information
you have provided in an ad. This could include descriptions, product specifications and
other content. You may use such information solely in connection with your Vespares
ad while your ad is on Vetspares. The information provided may be subject to
copyright, trademark and/or other protections.
You may not have the opportunity to review all of the supplemental data before posting
an ad. Vetspares is not responsible for the accuracy of any third party supplied
supplemental data. You continue to be responsible for ensuring that your ads are
accurate, do not include misleading information and fully comply with these Terms of
Use and all Vetspares policies. If you notice inaccuracies in this data after your ad
appears on the site please get in touch with us.

Liability
Nothing in these terms shall limit our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for
death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or the negligence of our agents
or employees. You agree not to hold us responsible for things other users post or do.
We aim to review users’ postings but are not involved in the actual transactions
between users. As most of the content comes from other users, we do not guarantee
the accuracy of postings or user communications or the quality, safety, or legality of
what’s offered.
We do offer a service whereby we act as intermediary between users. This service is
personalised and incur a fee. We do not accept any liability for the content or for the
products sold.
In no event do we accept liability of any description for the posting of any unlawful,
threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene or indecent information, or material of any
kind which violates or infringes upon the rights of any other person, including without
limitation any transmissions constituting or encouraging conduct that would constitute
a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable law.
You acknowledge that we cannot guarantee continuous, error-free or secure access to
our services or that defects in the service will be corrected. While we will use
reasonable efforts to maintain an uninterrupted service, we cannot guarantee this and
we do not give any promises or warranties (whether express or implied) about the
operation and availability of our sites, services, applications or tools.
Accordingly, to the extent legally permitted we expressly disclaim all warranties,
representations and conditions, express or implied, including those of quality,
merchantability, merchantable quality, durability, fitness for a particular purpose and
those arising by statute. We are not liable for any loss, whether of money (including
profit), goodwill, or reputation, or any special, indirect, or consequential damages
arising out of your use of, or inability to use Gumtree, even if you advise us or we
could reasonably foresee the possibility of any such damage occurring. Some
jurisdictions do not allow the disclaimer of warranties or exclusion of damages, so such
disclaimers and exclusions may not apply to you. Despite the previous paragraph, if
we are found to be liable, our liability to you or any third party (whether in contract, tort,
negligence, strict liability in tort, by statute or otherwise) is limited to the greater of (a)
the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the action giving rise to liability,
and (b) 100 Pounds Sterling.
Release
If you have a dispute with one or more users, you release us (and our officers,
directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures and employees) from any and all claims,
demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known or
unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.
Data Protection and Privacy

By using Vetspares, you agree to the collection, transfer, storage and use of your
personal information on servers located in the UK and worldwide without any limitation
of location of users.
You and Vetspares shall process personal data received under and/or in connection
with these Terms of Use each as a separate and independent controller. In no event
will Vetspares and you process personal data under and/or in connection with this User
Agreement as joint controllers or in a controller-to-processor relationship. As such
separate and independent controllers, you shall be individually and separately
responsible for complying with the obligations that apply to you as a controller under
applicable data protection law.
You shall comply with your obligations under applicable data protection law (including
but not limited to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (EU General Data Protection
Regulation “GDPR”)) and supplementing EU and local data protection law. This
includes, but is not limited to the obligation to provide appropriate safeguards for the
transfer of personal data to a third country or an international organisation. You shall
process personal data received from Gumtree exclusively for the purpose(s) you
received the personal data under and/or in connection with these Terms of Use. You
shall erase the personal data received under these Terms of Use immediately after the
respective purpose(s) has/have been fulfilled. Any further processing of the personal
data is not permitted except when legally required (e.g., if a retention obligation
applies).
Failure to abide with the aforementioned obligations may result in disciplinary action up
to and including account suspension.
As part of the services, Vetspares has access to various information about users,
including personal data. This includes information that users submit to Vetspares as
part of the services (such as contact information or item descriptions) as well as
information that is generated by the provision and processing of the services (such as
ratings, sales analysis or communication).
Via Vetspares.com and its related websites, services, applications or tools, you receive
information which is necessary for the processing of transactions (in particular, the
contact information of the other user involved in a transaction) as well as aggregated
information on the performance and analysis of your ads, which are partly related to
the data of other users of the services (such as number of impressions of an ad,
conversion rate or return rate).
Vetspares only shares information about users with third parties if this is necessary for
the provision of the services or if it is legally or contractually entitled to do so.
Upon expiry of these Terms of Use, we will delete the information you provided, or
which was generated through your use of the services from your account. Regardless,
we maintain this information after the expiry of these Terms of Use if we are legally
obliged or have a legitimate interest to do so. We will generally maintain aggregated
data generated using the services (e.g. statistics about ads in a category) upon expiry
of these Terms of Use.

Resolution of disputes
If a dispute arises between you and Vetspares, we strongly encourage you to first
contact us directly to seek a resolution by going to the Help page. We will consider
reasonable requests to resolve the dispute through alternative dispute resolution
procedures, such as mediation or arbitration, as alternatives to litigation.
General
These terms and the other policies posted on Vetspares constitute the entire
agreement between Vetspares and you, superseding any prior agreements. No
agency, partnership, joint venture, employee-employer or franchiser-franchisee
relationship is intended or created by this Agreement.
This Agreement shall be governed and construed in all respects by the laws of
England and Wales. You agree that any claim or dispute you may have against
Vetspares Limited must be resolved by the courts of England and Wales. You and
Vetspares both agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts;
for claims falling within the jurisdiction of a County Court, you and Vetspares both
agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the County Court of Wandsworth.
If we don’t enforce any particular provision, we are not waiving our right to do so later.
If a court strikes down any of these terms, the remaining terms will survive. We may
automatically assign this agreement in our sole discretion in accordance with the
notice provision below.
Your notices to us must be sent by registered mail to Vetspares ltd, 129 Manor drive
north, New Malden, Kt35PD, United Kingdom. We will send notices to you via the
email address you provide, or by registered mail. Notices sent by registered mail will
be deemed received five days following the date of mailing.
We may update this agreement at any time, with updates taking effect when you next
post or 30 days after we post the updated policy on the website, whichever is sooner.
No other amendment to this agreement will be effective unless made in writing, signed
by users and by us.
Mobile Devices Terms
If you’re accessing Services from a mobile device, the following terms and conditions
(“Terms of Use”) apply to you in addition to the applicable Mobile Privacy and Legal
Notice or End User License Agreement, as the case may be. Your use of the
Application confirms your agreement to these Terms of Use.
POSTING POLICY
Be Safe Online
Vetspares automatically masks the email addresses of buyers and sellers when replying
through the site. This helps to protect you from receiving unwanted spam or fraudulent
replies.

Masked emails won’t interfere with your ability to communicate on Vetspares. You will
still receive email replies and you can still reply to members from your own mailbox in
the normal way.
How It Works
When someone replies to an ad, instead of displaying that person’s actual email
address, we simply replace it with a unique address.
DISCRIMINATION POLICY
Everyone wants and deserves to be treated fairly. In the UK, the Equalities Act 2010 protects our
rights, giving us all equal access to employment and public and private services.

When you’re posting, it’s very important that your ad respects the law. You need to write your ads
so that they don’t discriminate based on age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil
partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.

General Policies
Our General Policies pages contain a basic overview of the policies upholds, and
contains a lot of legal jargon. Here you will find articles such as our Reply Code of

Posting policy
Vetspares wants to make sure that the site is as clean, friendly and usable as possible
for everyone. Ads that fall outside the posting rules may be removed.

You are solely responsible for all information that you submit to us and any
consequences that may result from your post. We reserve the right at our discretion to
refuse or delete content that we believe is inappropriate or breaching our Terms of Use.
We also reserve the right at our discretion to restrict a user’s usage of the site either
temporarily or permanently, or to refuse a user’s registration.

Please take the following policies into account before posting:
 All ads must be posted by members over 16 years of age.
 Malicious, defaming or slanderous ads are not permitted on the site.
 Illegal items or services are not permitted.
 Ad that contains adult, mature or erotic content are not allowed.
 Personals are not allowed.
 All ads must be posted in the most appropriate category.
 Each item, job or service should only be posted on the site once. Duplicates and
spam ads are not allowed.
 Each ad must only contain one item. Multiple items must be listed in individual
ads, with the exception of household clearance ads and job ads with multiple
openings for the same position.
 Items posted for sale must include the price within the ad.
 URLs must be entered in the URL field, not in the description of the ad.
 Members must enter their contact details in the correct fields within their ads.
Revealing these details in the ad description, photos or title is not allowed.
 Premium phone numbers are not permitted to be used in the Contact Phone
Number field, or in the ad description. They can be used in the Registered Phone
Number field.
 Adding fake or invalid phone numbers is not allowed. Including a phone number
in your ad is optional. If you don’t want to include one, leave the field blank.
 Keyword spamming (including many irrelevant words within your ad) to
manipulate searches is not allowed.
 Vetspares does not allow discrimination of any kind.
 Offensive language, hate speech or extreme profanity are not allowed.
 Auctions ads are not permitted.
 Sold items and other ads that are no longer available should be deleted by the
poster.
 All items and services must be based in the UK
 Ads stating that they will not accept cash are not permitted.
 Ads stating that the item is not able to be inspected or picked up in person are
not allowed.
 Pre-order ads are not allowed. All items must be in the possession of the seller
before they can be posted.
 All ads must be posted in English. Having a translation in another language is
permitted.
 We retain the right to remove any listings, regardless of category, that contains
inaccuracies, falsehoods or misleading information, or exploits vulnerable users.

VETSPARES REFUND POLICY

GDPR
We aim to comply with GDPR but so do users.
 Users enters their information from the time they register until they cancel or
delete their account.
 Users can access , modify and delete their Personal Information at any time
 Once deleted, users may register again and create a new account.
 Once the data is not needed or users inactive for 2 years will be deleted.
 We will informed users of any data breach and aim to resolve the issue as soon
as possible and limit any inconvenience as appropriate. It is the users
responsibility to ensure that they do not share sensitive data with others.
 Vetspares provides an anonymous service and can also act on behalf of users
when solicitated. This is an additional personalised service and a fee is payable.
We may disclose Personal Information of users to other members and to third parties.
This disclosure may be required for us to provide users access to our services, to
comply with our legal obligations, to enforce our User Agreement, to facilitate our
marketing and advertising activities, or to prevent, detect, mitigate, and investigate
fraudulent or illegal activities related to our services. We do not disclose users’ Personal
Information to third parties for their marketing and advertising purposes without users’
consent.

COOKIE POLICY
When you use our Services, we and authorized third parties make use of cookies
and similar technologies (which we will refer to collectively as “cookies”) to provide
you with a better, faster and safer user experience or to show you personalized

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

All complaints will be submitted in writing at enquiries@vetspares.com . A resolution is
expected within 28 working days. However, depending on the matter, some complaints
may require more time to be investigated and resolved.

We reserve the right to review, change or remove part of our terms and condition as
necessary for the safety of our users and in the best interest of Vetspares ltd.
